ABOUT SUSAN
Susan Gibberman is an award-winning Readers’ Advisory Librarian and accomplished speaker who brings a unique blend of research expertise, media knowledge and storytelling passion to her presentations. She was honored with the 2008 Librarian of the Year award from the Romance Writers of America, and her published works include Star Trek: An Annotated Guide as well as articles in two editions of The Encyclopedia of Television (Museum of Broadcast Communications). She previously served as an entertainment research specialist with Walt Disney Imagineering, deepening her expertise in the history and cultural impact of film and television.
She has also served on the Board for Chicago’s Love is Murder mystery conference and is currently developing a nonfiction project exploring films based on real-life murders - combining her skills as both a librarian and cultural historian.
Based in the Chicago area, Susan brings energy, humor, and deep knowledge to her talks, engaging audiences on topics ranging from popular culture and readers' advisory to the enduring power of storytelling across media.
